Expedia.com, a leader in online travel, needed to redesign their tired alpine ski vacation speciality store. Working within very stringent site specs, the design uses bold imagery, clear hierarchy & layout, rich interaction elements and skier/boarder specific copy to speak candidly to the target audience. The design was a success. It increased ski specialty store visits, created a dramatic improvement of visitor to buying customer conversions, offered new avenues for sponsorship revenue and defined a new creative strategy for attracting target
audiences.
As creative lead I was responsible for UX and UI design of the product from initial concept to final delivery. I managed a team of three designers over a period of four months.
